S. E. Gontarski is co-author, with C. J. Ackerley, of The Faber Companion to Samuel Beckett: A Reader's Guide to His Works, Life, and Thought (Faber 2006), and has edited volumes IV (Shorter Plays) and II (Endgame) of The Theatrical Notebooks of Samuel Beckett (Faber 1993, 1999) as well as Samuel Beckett: The Complete Short Prose (Grove Press 1995).
