Based on the history of the Communist Party and the Communist Youth League，the author analyzes the development and basic features of the spread of Marxism among youth in four periods，which are the period before and after the founding of the Communist Party of China，the period of the founding of the People's Republic of China with painstaking efforts，the period of seeking and building Chinese road to socialist construction，and the period of reform and opening-up，and summarizes the experiences in each period.
From the perspective of philosophy and based on the practice of the spread of Marxism among youth in new period，this book conducts an in-depth analysis on deep theoretical issues and practical problems that bother us for a long time. The analysis covers four basic aspects，which are “subject and object”，“purpose and category”，“content and form”，“ideal and reality” and puts forward innovative countermeasures and suggestions of the spread of Marxism among youth in the new situation.
In order to make the historical analysis and the philosophical thinking more concrete，multifaceted and convincing，this book contains special sections that study cases of setting-up of role models，cases of spread in significant events，cases of spread of thought on the internet or through Film and TV，and further analyze and explore the inspiration that those cases can bring to the research on the spread of Marxism among youth.
