Men（人）、Methods（方式）和Materials（材料）是管理学中的三个“M”。其中，“人”是最重要的，假如没有合适的人，不管你用多棒的方式、有多好的材料，也是无法获得成功的。当然，如果只有人，而没有好的方式和材料，也是要失败的。

    塞耶是美国电信电报公司的前任董事长，他曾对我说，有些总裁经常错误地认为，费力地弄出一个理想的企业规划后，就不必再为其他任何事情操心了。

    塞耶先生说：“在纸上，企业规划是完美的，可终归是纸上谈兵。别以为图纸会自己运作，你必须要找到合适的人来实施这个规划。”

    安德鲁·卡耐基曾说，就算他的工厂在一夜间被火烧光，只要他的组织人员还在，他就有本事重头再来。可是，如果他的企业没有了人力资源，那才是真正的灭顶之灾。

    人力资源，也就是管理学中的第一个“M”，必须要完美解决，这样，正确的方法和好材料才能随之而来。
